Level marked on the c Reader Reviews I had purchased 4 of these oster mini jars for grinding coffee beans, spices,etc. They work very well for that purpose. Later, I discovered that the pint sized Mason Jar will screw in to the base of the blender and can be used in the same way as the plastic jar (which over time seems to crack a bit and gets cloudy from abrasion). The advantage is that you can buy a case of 12 mason jars for only a couple of dollars more than what you pay for 1 plastic jar. It's worth a try and the mason jars can be used for other things if you don't need that many for grinding,blending or chopping.
