Bird-X TAPE-25 Irri-Tape Bird Repellent Ribbon
Manufacturer Description Holographic iridescent diffraction foil drives away birds. Repel birds holographically, Irri-Tape bothers all of a bird's senses: Visual Scare: birds are scared by the material's sheen, as the light causes constantly changing reflections and shadows. Sound scare: birds are rattled by the fierce metallic noise irritape makes as it blows in the breeze. Physical Deterrent: birds are blocked by Irri-Tape and its brackets on any surface. Coverage: up to 1,000 Square Feet. Pests: pigeons, sparrows, starlings, crows, blackbirds, grackles, seagulls, swallows, woodpeckers, ducks, geese, predators and more Uses: yards, gardens, rooftops, parks, ponds, boat docks, private beaches, patios, balconies, any open outdoor area or any semi-enclosed area with access to light and wind. Product Description Being naturally wary, birds won't like the 'flash', noise and distraction that this product will create. Designed with a holographic pattern, this foil tape has a wild, light reflecting, "3D" look to it that scares away birds. Plus, a stiff breeze will cause the tape to flutter and rattle, creating a further distraction to birds. For farms or gardens: Irri-Tape has many applications for protecting crops from bird damage. Spiral it around free standing trees from top to bottom. Or suspend it over vines and around row plantings. Entire garden areas may be protected by hanging Irri-Tape from 6' to 8' poles to form high row deterrents For open outdoor areas: Create a "maypole" with six to ten eight-foot lengths of Irri-Tape tied to the top of any upright post Reader Reviews I tried putting Irri-tape around the yard to scare away the birds who were feasting on my dog's food. It worked for maybe a day then the birds realized it wasn't a threat and started ignoring it. If you're considering getting this to keep birds away from your pet's food, try getting a Bergen Aut-O-Dine instead. That worked beautifully for me. In my opinion, having this tape hanging all around is not only ineffective as a bird deterrent, it looks trashy.
