Rope has 8 strands braided around centre core - more durable than a twisted rope - should one strand get nicked or cut, the integrity of the braid will not be compromised. First off nowhere in the description does it say you DON'T get the stand th hammock is on or lead you to believe it doesn't come included. Also I had no pillow in my package as described in the description. Drink holder? hat drik holder? The ground I assume. Don't waste your money on this piece of junk.
